How the numbers work
- Per-hour figures are copied from each classification's current wage sheet (its effective date is under Sources below) and checked against that sheet's own printed totals. Where a sheet has a printing error, the page uses the figure its totals support.
- Foreman, General Foreman and apprentice rates for Inside Wireman are calculated from the Inside Agreement: 110% and 120% of the Journeyman wage for foremen, and 40% to 85% for the six apprentice periods. First- and second-period apprentices are probationary and get no Edison or District 9 contributions.
- Amounts marked est. aren't published by Local 48. Foreman and General Foreman pensions use the current Journeyman amount plus the foreman differentials on Local 48's 2025 contractor wage sheet.
- Apprentice fringes match the Journeyman health and flex amounts, with Edison and District 9 prorated by the apprentice percentage, as on the 2025 contractor wage sheet. Foreman and apprentice withholdings assume the same dues percentages as Journeyman.
- The weekly estimate uses overtime at 1.5× and Sundays and holidays at 2×, fringes owed on every hour worked including overtime, and NEBF at 3% of gross wages. For Inside Wireman, Edison Pension on overtime hours is paid at the overtime rate, as the Inside Agreement requires.
- Other employer contributions (Inside only) come from the 2024–2026 Inside Agreement and don't appear on the member wage sheets. The National Electrical Industry Fund (0.2% to 1% of payroll, set by the NECA chapter) is not included.
- Vacation is 4% of gross, withheld and deposited to the member's own account. It is part of the wage, not an added cost.
- Basic dues ($0.34/hr, $58.50/month) are paid by the member directly and are not withheld.
- Not shown: apprentice and foreman rates for Sound & Comm and Residential, zone pay, travel, and shift premiums.
- The Inside, Residential, and Sound & Comm agreements on file run through December 31, 2026. When Local 48 posts new wage sheets, this page is updated after a review.
